Our Devotional Practices

At Life in Jesus Ministry, our relationship with Jesus Christ is at the heart of everything we do.

Our devotional practices offer different ways to nurture that relationship through Scripture, prayer, meditation and personal reflection.

Each practice is an invitation, not a requirement. We are free to explore the approaches that help us draw closer to Jesus and bring his love into our everyday lives.

Scripture and Gospel Reflection

Scripture is at the heart of our devotional life. Through reading, listening and reflecting upon the Bible, we seek to encounter Jesus Christ and deepen our relationship with him.

We explore Scripture within its historical and cultural context, considering what its words meant to those who first heard them and how they speak to our lives today.

Our reflections invite us not simply to understand the Word, but to respond to it through love, compassion and faithful action.

The Divine Hours

Our Divine Hours offer five opportunities throughout the day to pause, pray and return our attention to Jesus Christ.

Through Scripture, prayer and reflection, we follow a simple daily rhythm: GO, RETURN, REMAIN, GATHER and SURRENDER.

Each Hour invites us to make space for Jesus amid the ordinary activities of life, helping us nurture a relationship with him that continues throughout the day.

Prayer Beads

Our prayer beads offer a simple, portable way to spend time with Jesus through prayer and reflection.

Inspired by the five movements of our Divine Hours, the beads guide us through a gentle sequence of prayers that can be followed wherever we are, without needing a Bible or prayer book.

Each bead becomes an invitation to pause, pray and deepen our awareness of Jesus in our everyday lives.

Heart-Centred Christian Meditation

Through gentle guidance, stillness and awareness of the heart, we create space to rest in the loving presence of Jesus Christ.

Our approach combines meditation, prayer and Christian contemplation, helping us deepen our relationship with Jesus and carry that relationship into everyday life.

Christian Devotional Tarot

Christian devotional tarot offers a creative and contemplative way to reflect upon our lives in the light of Jesus Christ.

Using the symbolic imagery of tarot cards alongside Scripture, prayer and personal reflection, we explore questions about our everyday experiences, relationships and spiritual growth.

We approach tarot as a devotional practice rather than a means of predicting the future. The cards invite us to reflect, discern and consider how we might respond to life's circumstances with greater love, compassion and faithfulness.

Jesus Christ remains at the centre of our practice.
